Tammy Hoyt, MS, attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Engineering and worked in a biomaterials lab studying the antibacterial properties of silver as it was released from a polymer matrix. Tammy also co-authored a paper on biofilm and phenazine production in cells that were influenced by Pluronics while at Utah State University. Tammy received her Master of Science degree in Bioengineering from the University of Utah, where she worked in the Department of Anesthesiology. For her master's thesis project, she engineered a prototype miniaturized metabolic gas monitoring system. Tammy is currently employed at Rocky Mountain Multiple Sclerosis Clinic and Rocky Mountain MS Research Group as a study coordinator and medical technician.



LAURA BURR, BSN, CCRP             

Laura Burr is a native New Yorker. She received her BSN at City College. Most of Laura’s nursing career has been in research. Her first position was in the department of psychiatry, at New York Presbyterian Medical Center, working to find effective treatments for various drug addictions. After that she worked as a circulator and scrub nurse in the pediatric OR at Morgan Stanley’s Children Hospital. Laura moved to Utah and went back to research with the department of Urogynecology at the University of Utah. She then worked at Huntsman Cancer Institute in phase I- III research trials with patients with gastrointestinal cancers. While she was at Huntsman she obtained her CCRP (Certified Clinical Research Professionals) with SOCRA (Society of Clinical Research Associates). Laura is currently employed at Rocky Mountain Multiple Sclerosis Clinic and Rocky Mountain MS Research Group as a research coordinator.



Laura has worked at Rocky Mountain Multiple Sclerosis Clinic since 2010. She works primarily as an infusion nurse. Laura also works as a study coordinator assisting with various MS research studies. Laura graduated from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008. Prior to working in neurology, Laura worked as a hospice nurse and is certified as a Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse. She has worked in health care for over 11 years.
